Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto: Person-Centered Care for Overall Health (Available Virtually)

Naturopathic medicine is person-centred care. This is a form of primary care that holds you at the centre and takes into account your physical and emotional wellbeing as well as acknowledging where you are at in your health journey. At the foundation, it involves supporting what we call pillars of health - the ways in which we move, eat, think, rest and connect.

We rely on evidence to inform decisions and options in your healthcare. Evidence-based care means we are taking into account best available research, but also our clinical experience and your personal preferences. We believe you should understand the why behind recommendations we make for you, and have choices in what your plan might look like.

As we make shifts in our pillars of health, we also have tools to support your symptoms or treat underlying concerns, such as intentional supplementation - with appropriate dosing and recommendations. We can also discuss laboratory investigations which may help us gain a deeper understanding of your health concerns and symptoms. We believe our greatest strength is often the time we can spend with our patients to understand more fully them and their concerns, as well as to provide accountability and support along the way.

Who provides naturopathic medicine?

Our Naturopathic Doctors, Dr. Fiona Callender and Dr. Madeleine Clark, ND both attended the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine after graduating with undergraduate degrees from the University of Toronto. They founded Crafted Balance with a shared vision of how they believe healthcare should be experienced. They are passionate about providing evidence-based care that focuses on educating and empowering their patients in navigating what can often be an intense and confusing wellness world. Body-acceptance, inclusivity and a healthy relationship with food, exercise and our bodies underscores their approach and care. Read more on their story here.
