Naturopathic services
Naturopathic medicine is a form of care that holds you at the centre and takes into account your physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. At the foundation, it involves supporting what we call pillars of health - the ways in which we move, eat, think, rest and connect. We see our long term and sustainable change come from shifts within these pillars. As we make these bigger lifestyle shifts, we have tools such as intentional supplementation, lab work, herbal medicine and acupuncture to manage symptoms and get you where you want to be.
Who provides naturopathic medicine?
Our Naturopathic Doctors, Dr. Fiona Callender and Dr. Madeleine Clark, ND both attended the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine after graduating with undergraduate degrees from the University of Toronto. They founded Crafted Balance through a shared vision for how they believe healthcare should be experienced. They are passionate about providing evidence-based care that focuses on educating and empowering their patients in navigating what can often be an intense and confusing wellness world. Body-acceptance, inclusivity and a healthy relationship with food, exercise and our bodies underscores their approach and care.

Though they have a similar approach to care, they have overlapping but different areas of focus and interest. Depending on your concern, there may be one of our naturopathic doctors that makes more sense for you.
Dr. Madeleine Clark, ND has focus in hormonal health, supporting her patients with various hormonal transitions including perimenopause and menopause and the various changes and symptoms that arise in this time. She enjoys supporting metabolic health and weight changes, mental health (including PMS, PMDD), preventative health and optimal aging.
Dr. Madeleine has the ability to prescribe Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) when appropriate.
Dr. Fiona Callender, ND has a focus in supporting hormonal health, especially as it pertains to fertility goals, menstrual cycle irregularities and symptoms, endometriosis and other pelvic pain conditions. She also has a passion for supporting patients through pregnancy and postpartum.
She has completed additional training in pelvic floor therapy, including courses specific to urinary symptoms, pelvic pain (including vulvodynia, vaginismus, endometriosis, sexual pain etc.), pregnancy care and running-specific pelvic floor concerns.
Both Dr. Fiona and Dr. Madeleine enjoy working with patients on supporting their digestive concerns, skin health, and managing mental wellness.
